Annie and Tommy Jankovic - Edmonton Wedding Photography
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 4:17PM Stepping into a different culture for a weekend is just one of the many perks we have has wedding photographers. We were lucky enough to be welcomed in the Croatian Culture with the Cavcic and the Jankovic families last week. After a very traditional ceremony at the Croatian Catholic Church, the bride and groom chose the NAIT HP centre as a modern portrait location which we thought was very cool. Having never shot there before, it pushed us to be even more creative. The whole day was filled with family, friends, love, laughter, good food, drinks and good dancing. They pulled out all the stops by performing the Lindo dance later on in the evening. It comes from the Dalmation region of Croatia and it has always been performed at weddings after a few drinks have been had. It involved spining, twirling, the men dancing over cups and a lift. A full on upside down bride lift! We had a wonderful time spending the day with you all. Hope you enjoy some of our favorite pictures.
